Overview
Lead a team of Product Owners and Project Managers to improve program execution, delivery predictability, and engineering effectiveness across the PCS IoMT portfolio, covering both NPI and Installed Base initiatives.
What you'll do
- Lead, coach and grow a team of Product Owners and Project Managers supporting multiple PCS IoMT products and platforms.
- Raise the technical depth of the team so they can engage credibly with engineers on architecture, requirements quality, dependencies and risk.
- Equip the team to use AI in program execution, backlog refinement, requirements analysis, release planning and operational reporting.
- Own talent development, career growth, succession planning and engagement, and build a culture of experimentation and continuous learning.
- Establish consistent program planning and execution practices across Product Owners, Project Managers, and engineering teams, integrating milestone, dependency, risk and release management.
- Drive integrated execution plans that align Engineering, Systems, Quality, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders around common commitments and outcomes.
- Improve visibility and control of dependencies, critical paths, execution risks and release readiness across NPI and Installed Base programs.
- Drive adoption of approved Lean practices to standardize execution, reduce operational waste, improve decision-making, and increase delivery predictability.
- Use engineering, quality, and delivery data to proactively identify risks, drive corrective actions, and improve portfolio outcomes.
- Identify and establish repeatable ways to use AI for backlog refinement, planning, risk management, execution visibility, operational reporting, and decision-making.
- Enable teams to adopt AI practices defined by the PCS organization and translate them into practical improvements in day-to-day program execution.
- Define and track program-level metrics such as milestone predictability, schedule adherence, dependency closure, risk aging, release readiness, quality and delivery outcomes.
- Establish dashboards and operating reviews that provide clear visibility into program health, critical paths, dependencies, risks, and commitments across the portfolio.
- Create baselines and measurable targets for program predictability, execution efficiency, quality, and operational performance.
- Use program, engineering, quality, and delivery data to identify trends early, enable timely decisions, and drive corrective actions.
- Continuously assess which execution practices deliver value, scale what works, improve what does not, and simplify or stop low-value activities.
- Support cross-functional alignment among Product Management, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Quality, Cybersecurity, and Program Management teams.
- Represent the PCS IoMT Engineering Operations organization in cross-functional forums, and bring leadership reviews technical insight, metrics, and recommendations.
- Influence without direct authority, using technical judgment and data to drive adoption.
