Overview
Senior Front-End Software Engineer for desktop and mobile game client experiences, supporting in-game features, development tools, and operational tooling.
What you'll do
- Implement and maintain client-side code for desktop and mobile games.
- Work on client/server-based applications using technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Debug, modify, and generally support in-game features and development/operational tools.
- Contribute to development of new/innovative games and game features.
- Identify new tools or improved processes to aid the development team.
- Help other team members resolve issues and mentor junior team members.
What you'll need
- 5-8 years of software development experience.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, including quirks and workarounds.
- Experience with data structures (JavaScript or any programming language).
- Basic understanding of web markup including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Experience with development tools including IDEs, debuggers, and bug tracking.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, CVS, or SVN.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming techniques and languages.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as ReactJS, AngularJS, jQuery, or NodeJS.
- Hands-on experience with other languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
- Familiarity with front-end build tools such as Grunt.
- Distributed application (client/server) development experience.
- Game development experience.
- Experience in UI development and animations.
