Senior Industrial Engineer

Overview

As a Senior Industrial Engineer, you’ll drive operational excellence and manufacturing improvements across Sulzer operations.

What you'll do

• Lead productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives across manufacturing operations.
• Conduct time studies, motion studies, and manufacturing method analysis using AVIX.
• Improve flow and labor efficiency through line balancing and workload optimization.
• Drive Lean and continuous improvement via VSM, Kaizen, and waste elimination.
• Develop factory layouts and manufacturing line designs, including digital twins and simulation support.
• Lead data-driven improvement projects, including OEE analysis and PFMEA-based process optimization.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5-10 years of industrial engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience (minimum 3-5 years) using Visual Components or equivalent manufacturing simulation software.
• Experience with work measurement, time studies, standard work development, line balancing, and labor optimization.
• Demonstrated experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience with Value Stream Mapping, process optimization, capacity analysis, and bottleneck identification.
• Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.

• Basic organizational dependencies: reports to Global Head Operations Excellence (explicit).
