Overview
Engineering Operations Manager to drive smooth engineering operations, including delivery governance, issue resolution, and vendor/contract management for engineering teams headquartered in Bangalore, India and Sri Lanka.
What you'll do
- Partner with the Project Management Office to ensure smooth execution of large-scale engineering and delivery projects.
- Join steering committees and account reviews to track progress and ensure issues are resolved from an engineering standpoint.
- Work with vendor management/procurement and finance to ensure technology vendor contracts are reviewed, tracked, and renewed on time.
- Prepare and run periodic engineering business reviews, surfacing KPIs and budget deviations and tracking them to closure.
- Analyze workflows to recommend improvements and develop scalable processes and SOPs, monitoring effectiveness.
- Perform resourcing and capacity planning analysis to improve how engineering allocates and plans capacity.
What you'll need
- 5-10 years of experience in engineering/IT operations, technical program management, or PMO roles within a technology or SaaS organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of software delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum), engineering budgeting, and IT vendor/contract lifecycles.
- Program and project management skills, including experience in steering committees and cross-functional deep dives.
- Working knowledge of tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Coupa, or SAP Ariba.
- Ability to interpret budgets, KPIs, and delivery metrics and translate them into actionable follow-ups.
