Tax Operations – Associate

Overview

Support tax compliance activities within PwC's Tax Services practice by reviewing financial information, preparing tax filings, and helping clients meet tax law and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Independently prepare and deliver Tax Compliance documents with minimal supervision
• Assist Management Trainees in understanding processes and quality expectations
• Handle Tax Notices and Refund Check processes with improved efficiency and accuracy
• Perform reconciliations, validations, and variance analysis
• Identify data quality issues and escalate them appropriately
• Support Senior Analysts by preparing review-ready deliverables
• Contribute actively to SOP updates and process improvement initiatives

What you'll need

• Post Graduate with working knowledge of US tax and financial concepts
• 1–3 years of experience in tax operations or compliance roles
• Strong Excel skills including advanced formulas and reconciliation techniques
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to mentor junior team members informally

• Location: Kolkata (AC) - Exora Business Park, Elnath - Bangalore
• The role will require working closely with the Tax Ops team in New York
• Travel: up to 20%
