Overview

Senior IT Analyst Applications (SAP Sales and Distribution, Functional Consultant) on the Order to Cash (OTC) team within the OTC-Machine Orders SAP&CMOPS group, Global Finance Services Division, based in Bangalore.

What you'll do

• Independently deliver SAP Sales & Distribution (SD)/Order to Cash (OTC) solutions aligned with the enterprise template and business objectives.
• Work closely with SAP SD/OTC Architects, Solution Leads, and Strategic Integration partners to lead implementations of technical solutions and major enterprise deployments supporting the machine orders business.
• Offer advanced level technical guidance to SAP SD/OTC support teams and integration partners.
• Mentor junior functional team members with their projects.
• Work on multiple concurrent projects.
• Analyze, document, and revise business processes and system logic as needed.
• Provide recommendations on order and pricing enhancements to meet business requirements.
• Create test plans to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Oversee User Acceptance Testing and script sign-off for key releases.
• Design and configure pricing procedures, including condition tables and types.

What you'll need

• Expert knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for recognizing, anticipating and resolving organizational, operational or process problems, applied to the SAP Sales & Distribution module.
• Extensive knowledge of effective advisory methods and ability to provide valued information and advice to clients regarding products, technologies, services and solutions for the SAP Sales & Distribution module.
• Expert knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
• Expert knowledge of requirement analysis tools, methods and techniques; ability to elicit, analyze and record business functionality and non-functionality requirements.
• Expert knowledge of the features and facilities of systems; ability to integrate and communicate among applications, databases and technology platforms.
• Extensive knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction.
• Extensive knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize and resolve technical issues on hardware, software, application or operation.
• Four-year bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, information systems, engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of SAP Sales & Distribution module specific experience.
• Progressive experience and mastery of the full life cycle of manufactured product orders (from order creation to invoicing).
• Experience with Sales Variant Configuration used for manufacturing products, including impact on sales order, pricing, invoicing and accounting processes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP SD concepts, including invoices, pricing procedures, sales order conversions, loan processes, system configuration (SPRO), EDI and other integration methods.
• Knowledge of the Caterpillar dealer network, facilities, product structure, and machine ordering landscape and logistics.
• Ability to read and understand ABAP language.

• SAP Certified Associate - Sales.

Details

• Location: Bangalore, preferably the Bangalore PSN, Whitefield office.
• Works onsite five days a week in the office.
• Ability to travel globally, up to 15%.
