Overview
Serve as a Senior IT Analyst Applications and Manufacturing Engineering Business Analyst within the Solar IT Solutions – ERP Team. Bridge Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT teams to deliver ERP-enabled business capabilities and continuous process improvements.
What you'll do
- Develop understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes, including item setup, BoM management, routing configuration, engineering changes, and production release workflows.
- Analyze and document end-to-end Engineering-to-Manufacturing processes and identify optimization and standardization opportunities.
- Support Package BoM and Multi-Site BoM management across manufacturing locations.
- Partner with engineering teams on Windchill release-to-production processes and PLM-ERP alignment.
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to capture AS-IS and TO-BE processes.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements from planners, buyers, manufacturing engineers, operations teams, and business stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into functional specifications, process flows, and solution designs.
- Define acceptance criteria and support change control throughout project execution.
- Support Windchill integration and Product Data Management processes.
- Support configuration and management of item master data, engineering attributes, BoMs, routings, and manufacturing structures in ERP systems.
- Define integration requirements between PLM, ERP, and other enterprise applications with technical teams.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across engineering and manufacturing systems.
- Support functional design reviews, system configuration, testing, and solution validation.
- Develop and execute User Acceptance Testing plans and test scenarios.
- Coordinate defect management, issue resolution, and deployment readiness.
- Support cutover planning, deployment execution, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Assist with organizational change management activities for process transformation initiatives.
- Develop user training materials, process documentation, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct end-user training and provide post-deployment support.
- Drive adoption of new business processes and ERP capabilities across engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Analyze process and system performance metrics to identify efficiency improvements.
- Recommend process enhancements and technology solutions that improve operational effectiveness.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing productivity, quality, and supply chain performance.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting Manufacturing Engineering, ERP, PLM, or Supply Chain initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting ERP implementation and business transformation programs within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Engineering-to-Manufacturing business processes and data management.
- Knowledge of Item Master Data Management.
- Knowledge of Package BoM and Multi-Site BoM Management.
- Knowledge of Routing and Manufacturing Setup.
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Management.
- Knowledge of Windchill Release-to-Production Processes.
- Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM).
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Planning and Execution.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and Operations Integration.
- Knowledge of ERP solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment activities.
- Knowledge of business data analysis, reporting, and data governance principles.
- Ability to facilitate cross-functional discussions and workshops.
- Ability to create business requirements documents, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, UAT scripts, test documentation, standard operating procedures, and training materials.
- Ability to partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT teams and support issue resolution and user adoption.
Details
- Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
- The preference for this role is to be based out of the Bangalore PSN Office, KA-India.
- Work onsite in the office five days a week.
- Work timings are 01:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST.
- Work a 5-day-a-week schedule.
