What you'll do
- Provide and own day-to-day, on-site IT support for the design center and act as the local point of contact and liaison for IT matters.
- Implement and follow Mythic's global IT policies, asset management processes, and support standards rather than defining separate local processes.
- Coordinate closely with Mythic HQ IT/security teams on standards, security, infrastructure, tools, support processes, audits, and compliance.
- Manage local vendor relationships for hardware, software, networking, and EDA licensing.
- Support and coordinate any additional India-based IT resources as part of the broader Mythic IT function.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Windows, Mac, and Linux laptops/desktops and peripherals for the local design engineering team.
- Manage the full hardware lifecycle including procurement, imaging, patching, warranty, and asset tracking.
- Ensure minimal downtime through proactive monitoring and rapid issue resolution.
- Standardize OS images, software deployment, and security configurations across Windows, Mac, and Linux.
- Administer Mythic's global identity and access standards locally, including single sign-on and multi-factor authentication enrollment, group-based access, and local approval of access requests.
- Operate unified endpoint management, disk encryption, and patch compliance across the local fleet.
- Execute onboarding and offboarding in line with global joiner, mover and leaver processes.
- Produce the evidence required for customer and third-party security assessments.
- Configure and maintain networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls) in coordination with the global IT team.
- Manage and troubleshoot site-to-site VPN connectivity between sites.
- Administer firewall rules, access policies, and network security configurations.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve connectivity issues affecting design workflows.
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers supporting design and compute workloads.
- Own the local remote desktop and virtual workstation experience the design team depends on, including performance troubleshooting across long-haul links to other sites.
- Provision and manage cloud computing resources as required by project needs.
- Perform server administration including user management, storage, backups, patching, and performance tuning.
- Support compute farm and job scheduling environments used for EDA workloads where applicable.
- Build, run, and maintain container images and container-based build and CI environments used by local engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot containerized workloads.
- Use scripting and configuration management to automate routine administration rather than performing it by hand.
