Overview
Lead assigned digitization, process redesign and contracting initiatives within the Commercial Finance and Strategic Global Sourcing (SGS) modernization portfolio, owning quality assurance, quality control and SOX/internal control integrity across the digitization portfolio.
What you'll do
- Lead assigned initiatives from business case through implementation, maintaining the plan, milestones, owners, dependencies and status reporting
- Build and defend the financial case for each initiative, covering hard savings, cost avoidance, working capital and margin impact, using defensible baselines
- Baseline, track and report the KPI set defined by Finance, Sourcing and Commercial leadership; escalate off-track initiatives and recommend corrective action or reset
- Perform current-state process analysis across sourcing and sourcing finance, documenting handoffs, cycle times, controls and effort, and identify work to retire, consolidate or automate
- Quantify the cost of manual workarounds, duplicated effort and fragmented systems, and model the headcount and cost-structure impact of the target state
- Design target-state processes and operating procedures with clear before/after cost, cycle-time and quality measures, and support adoption and change management through go-live
- Own the QA/QC framework for the digitization portfolio, defining test plans, acceptance criteria, data validation and reconciliation routines, and post-implementation reviews, and provide sign-off before processes or systems move to production
- Ensure every process redesign, automation and system migration preserves or strengthens SOX coverage, redesigning key controls, updating control narratives and risk-control matrices, and securing agreement from Controllership, Internal Audit and external audit
- Partner with Controllership, Internal Audit and IT General Controls owners to maintain segregation of duties, system access, change management and audit evidence standards
- Establish ongoing control monitoring and exception reporting for automated and digitized processes, including data integrity and reconciliation checks
- Maintain process, control and system documentation to a standard that withstands internal and external audit, and support auditor walkthroughs and testing requests
- Support the design and stand-up of the SGS contract digitization capability, covering intake, authoring, approval, execution, repository and downstream contract data usage
- Assist in developing and rolling out SGS contracting standards, templates, playbooks and delegation-of-authority guidelines in partnership with category management
- Analyze contract and sourcing data to surface value leakage, off-contract spend, expiring agreements and terms that constrain commercial objectives
- Partner with technology, sourcing, commercial and operations teams to translate business requirements into system and workflow solutions, and support testing, deployment and user enablement
- Prepare business cases, benefits-realization reporting and decision materials for the enterprise digitization governance steering committee
- Build and maintain reporting, dashboards and models that track initiative benefits from commitment through realization in the P&L
- Establish and maintain continuous-improvement routines so gains are sustained after an initiative closes
- Act as key point of contact between Commercial Finance and SGS on assigned initiatives, resolving issues and unblocking cross-functional work
- Provide day-to-day direction, review and coaching to analysts supporting assigned initiatives
- Perform related duties as assigned
