Senior Manager – New Bond Reporting Accountant

Overview

Senior Manager responsible for the accounting treatment and reporting of a new bond product across financial and regulatory reporting, working closely with product, actuarial, operations and technology teams.

What you'll do

• Develop the accounting treatment and reporting outputs required for the New Bond across financial and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure reporting interfaces appropriately with InvestPro outputs, including tax calculations and Solvency II look-through asset data.
• Coordinate reporting dependencies with fund oversight and third-party operating processes.
• Own the end-to-end accounting and reporting requirements for the allocated product, from source data through journals, reconciliations, disclosures and management information.
• Translate product design, actuarial outputs and operating model changes into clear accounting requirements, process maps, controls and delivery plans.
• Prepare and review reporting outputs, balance sheet substantiation and supporting analysis in line with the agreed reporting timetable.
• Design and operate reconciliations between administration, investment, actuarial and general ledger data, investigating and resolving breaks promptly.
• Support testing, dress rehearsals, implementation and post-launch stabilisation, with clear defect, issue and decision tracking.
• Maintain robust documentation, including accounting papers, procedures, control evidence, data lineage and handover materials.
• Partner with business and technology teams to reduce manual intervention and embed sustainable business-as-usual processes.
• Escalate material risks, control weaknesses, data quality issues and delivery dependencies through the agreed governance routes.
