Job description

Overview

Senior Manager, Strategy Enablement & Planning Group Lead at Takeda's GCC in Bengaluru, supporting the establishment of the GCM Evidence Strategy & Planning team and managing a growing team of Strategy & Planning Leads.

What you'll do

  • Support the design and establishment of evidence record management processes within the GCM, including repository standards, naming conventions, metadata requirements, access controls, and retention categories, in close coordination with Global Evidence Generation before full GCM transition.
  • Act as a senior quality reviewer of evidence record centralization and reuse assessment activities during the initial build phase.
  • Identify and resolve early-stage process gaps, ambiguities in scope boundaries between GCM and Global Evidence Generation, and repository readiness issues.
  • Oversee quality and consistency of all GCM evidence strategy and planning outputs across the team's full scope once at steady state, including IEP maintenance, evidence record management, reuse assessments, PRO/COA benchmarking, and HA & Payer launch and scenario planning support.
  • Review team outputs before distribution to Global Evidence Generation stakeholders; resolve operational and process issues and escalate scientific, strategic, or compliance questions to the US organization as appropriate.
  • Monitor workload distribution across concurrent IEPs, reuse requests, benchmarking needs, and planning workstreams; adjust prioritization and capacity allocation as portfolio demands shift.
  • Manage daily workflow, capacity planning, and prioritization for the Strategy & Planning Leads.
  • Build team capability through coaching, onboarding, structured training, and performance feedback; identify skill gaps and support individual development as the team scales.
  • Ensure clear role delineation and effective handoffs.
  • Confirm strategic question framing, scientific scope boundaries, and escalation thresholds with the GCM Evidence Generation Strategy & Operations Enablement Group Lead (Associate Director) before GCM activity is initiated.
  • Flag operational risks, capacity constraints, recurring process gaps, or scope boundary issues to the GCM Evidence Generation Strategy & Operations Enablement Group Lead (Associate Director) in a timely manner.

What you'll need

  • 10-12+ years of related work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in evidence strategy support, HEOR operations, scientific documentation, or related evidence management roles.
  • A scientific, medical, life sciences, or health economics degree is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of evidence planning and IEP governance processes, including evidence records, reuse frameworks, and scenario planning across the asset lifecycle.
  • Experience establishing or overseeing evidence repository standards, metadata governance, naming conventions, and document lifecycle management in a regulated pharmaceutical environment (e.g. Veeva Vault or equivalent).
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple functions, US global teams, and geographies.
  • Fluent English.
