Overview
Build and evolve high-performance instrumentation SDKs for iOS that connect mobile telemetry with backend and infrastructure observability. The role covers SDK features, reliability, developer experience, and open-source collaboration.
What you'll do
- Build and evolve iOS instrumentation SDKs using Swift and Objective-C.
- Ship session tracking, crash reporting, sampling, context propagation, and OpenTelemetry features.
- Own projects from design through delivery and iteration.
- Improve quality through automated tests, CI, documentation, and backward-compatible upgrades.
- Collaborate with backend, frontend, product, and solutions engineering teams.
- Review pull requests and support external open-source contributors.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to technical discussions and roadmap planning.
What you'll need
- Strong iOS engineering experience with Swift and Objective-C.
- Experience building or maintaining mobile SDKs, platform libraries, or developer-facing platform code.
- Experience with performance-sensitive code, including startup time, memory, or network efficiency.
- Familiarity with OpenTelemetry or similar telemetry libraries.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with ambiguous requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working in a fully remote, globally distributed team.
Nice to have
- Contributions to OpenTelemetry, crash-reporting libraries, or observability open source.
- Experience with React Native, Flutter, or native bindings and bridges.
- Experience with mobile security, privacy, or platform integration.
- Experience with crash aggregation, session replay, or mobile telemetry sampling.
Details
- Remote role based in Spain.
- Compensation: €82,000–€103,000 per year.
