Overview
Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate AI-assisted capabilities within platform infrastructure and developer tooling.
What you'll do
- Design and build MCP servers to expose platform capabilities for AI agents and developer assistants.
- Develop agentic workflows for platform operations such as incident triage, deployment validation, and config remediation.
- Operationalize LLM-based features including structured prompting, RAG, output validation, and evaluation harnesses.
- Implement LLM gateway/router patterns to control costs, route models, and enable observability for AI workloads.
- Build and evolve GitOps continuous delivery and Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS EKS with infrastructure-as-code.
- Strengthen observability and reliability using SLOs, error budgets, and automation to improve MTTD/MTTR.
- Instrument and automate FinOps for compute, observability, and AI/LLM spend cost signals and decision support.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering operating production systems in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).
- Strong Python and/or Go coding skills for production services.
- Deep experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), GitOps (Argo CD), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and Terraform/Helm/Kustomize.
- Solid observability experience with Datadog APM/metrics/tracing/logs and a track record improving reliability and SLO/error-budget culture.
- Hands-on MCP server experience including tool surfaces, scope/auth, and connecting AI agents to infrastructure.
- Experience with structured or agentic AI workflows used in production environments.
- FinOps experience including cloud cost attribution, workload optimization, and AI/LLM spend control.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
- Clear communication skills for effective collaboration in a distributed environment.
