Overview

Platform Engineer (Java frameworks) for eBay’s Frameworks team, supporting Java frameworks powering eBay site-facing REST, GraphQL, and Batch traffic.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Tekton.
• Coordinate software releases across multiple teams and manage dependencies.
• Build, maintain, and improve a Spring Boot framework for internal applications.
• Develop AI-powered solutions to platform engineering problems.
• Build and maintain optimized Docker images, run vulnerability scans, and manage registries.
• Set up and maintain dev, staging, and production environments and monitor performance.
• Ensure security via image patching, sensitive data handling, and audit logs.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Maven, Spring Boot, and version control systems such as Git.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Tekton.
• Strong knowledge of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• A collaborative mindset working with cross-functional teams.
