Overview
Lead the emulation strategy, platform enablement and testplan execution for large Custom Compute and Storage (CCS) SoC products within the Emulation Center of Excellence.
What you'll do
- Define the emulation strategy and platform requirements, and develop the emulation testplan.
- Drive execution of emulation verification for large CCS products on platforms such as Veloce, Zebu and Palladium.
- Work with the project lead and stakeholders to define emulation hardware requirements, including platforms, hardware/software collaterals, transactors and speed-bridges.
- Work closely with emulation hardware vendor application engineers to keep the hardware and software ecosystem updated, and drive debug and resolution of issues with the vendor and design team.
- Define and develop new HW/SW tools to accelerate RTL and improve emulation/FPGA model usability for pre-silicon and post-silicon functional validation and software development/validation.
- Interface with and guide pre-silicon validation teams on optimizing validation environments, test suites and methodologies for emulation efficiency.
- Develop and apply automation aids, flows and scripts to ease emulation use and improve equipment utilization.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 17+ years of related professional experience, or Master's and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 15+ years of experience.
- Substantial knowledge of emulation platform offerings from vendors such as Synopsys, Cadence and Siemens, including extensive experience building complex SoC emulation models.
- Working knowledge of one or more of: processor architecture, SoC components, SoC interconnect buses, IO protocols (PCIe, CXL, Ethernet), and memory interfaces (DDR, HBM).
- Strong understanding of the product development process for large SoCs and verification/debug experience on emulation platforms.
- Strong experience coding in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl and UNIX Shell.
