Senior Principal Engineer - Validation

Overview

Lead silicon validation for Automotive MCU products, driving both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, including functional validation covering functionality, performance, stress and stability.

What you'll do

• Provide leadership to SOC validation and drive the validation team for successful product validation and debug of issues found by validation or reported from other teams or customers.
• Drive validation planning by developing and implementing detailed validation test plans and validation methodologies and infrastructure to achieve coverage.
• Develop test cases, test environments and automation scripts using Python.
• Use HW and SW tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, traffic generators and analyzers.
• Represent the validation function in global forums and core team.
• Work closely with design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause and resolve issues that arise during validation.
• Work with Operations on bench screening and high-volume ATE functional screening.
• Document test plans, test results and validation coverage reports, and communicate them to stakeholders through regular reports.
• Develop scripts and web-based tools to automate validation tests and to collect reports and diagnostics data.

What you'll need

• B.Tech./M.Tech. in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in silicon validation.
• Experience performing leadership roles in SOCs, mixed signal/digital ICs.
• Hands-on experience with debug of interfaces such as communication peripherals and memory interfaces, and with system-level validation testing.
• Expertise with pre-silicon platform and C.
• Script-based test automation using Python, and strong scripting skills in general.
