Overview
Own the definition and delivery of customer-facing capabilities for one or more software products within the AVEVA PI System portfolio, from roadmap and prioritization through launch and lifecycle management.
What you'll do
- Prepare and manage Opportunity Canvases and related Initiatives, defining objectives, value propositions, success measures, priorities, and delivery scope with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Own the product backlog for your scope: intake, triage, refinement, prioritization, and readiness for development.
- Translate user needs and cross-product scenarios into clear requirements (user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria) that R&D can implement.
- Partner with R&D to define milestones, sequencing, and release plans; proactively manage risks, dependencies, and scope trade-offs.
- Participate in technical and development reviews and provide product input on implementation decisions for usability, supportability, security, and scalability.
- Drive product release strategy and readiness by coordinating engineering, documentation, support, services, marketing, and enablement activities.
- Ensure high-quality outcomes by defining success criteria, validating solutions with customer and field feedback, and driving iteration.
- Serve as the trusted voice of the customer, ensuring product decisions are grounded in real user problems and customer feedback is systematically incorporated.
- Represent the product in internal forums to provide clarity, alignment, and decision support across teams.
- Coordinate responses to escalated customer-facing or internal issues impacting product success; drive root-cause understanding and prioritization of fixes.
- Work closely with the Portfolio Director to translate portfolio strategy and investment priorities into long-term direction and short- and mid-term execution plans (roadmap, sequencing, quarterly objectives).
- Collaborate with Portfolio/Product leadership, R&D, UX, Customer Success, Support, and other internal groups to align product initiatives with company and product strategies.
- Present product strategy, roadmap, scope decisions, and progress updates clearly to internal stakeholders; ensure shared understanding of goals, trade-offs, and timelines.
- Establish and maintain product operating practices (roadmap reviews, backlog refinement, discovery cadence, release readiness) to enable predictable execution.
- Lead through influence, aligning engineering, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders around shared outcomes.
- Ensure high standards for product quality, usability, and customer impact, and responsiveness to user feedback via the feedback portal and other channels.
