Senior Product Manager, Device Experience

Overview

Own the three-year vision and end-to-end software experience for installing and provisioning Samsara devices. Improve first-attempt install correctness across professional installers and customers installing hardware themselves.

What you'll do

• Define the vision for device installation and provisioning across products, device types, and geographies.
• Set and improve the install-correctness metric by instrumenting the funnel.
• Own guided installation and verification flows in the Samsara Fleet app.
• Build intelligence to verify camera aim, wiring, and signal quality.
• Give operations leaders visibility into fleet readiness and data production.
• Conduct install ride-alongs and customer-yard sessions to shape product decisions.
• Influence hardware, firmware, and software roadmaps.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of product management experience shipping products for external customers.
• Experience owning and improving a business or product metric.
• Experience building a product from zero to one.
• Technical depth demonstrated through a Computer Science or Engineering degree, engineering experience, or system-architecture fluency.
• Ability to set multi-year direction and review detailed screen flows.
• Executive-level communication skills with CEOs, CPOs, and customers.
• Residence in a North American time zone.

Nice to have

• Experience building mobile products for hands-on workers in loud, time-pressured, or offline conditions.
• Primary customer-research experience.
• Experience with products combining software and hardware.
• Experience instrumenting funnels and running experiments.

Details

• Remote position open to candidates residing in the United States.
• Annual base salary: USD 130,602–219,500.
• Full-time employees are eligible for an initial RSU grant.
