Senior Production Planner

Overview

Responsible for coordinating and scheduling materials and resources as they contribute to the function of internal and external manufacturing, to ensure that customer deadlines are met.

What you'll do

• Plan and control all scheduling activities supporting manufactured items, ensuring customer demand is met on schedule using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and Resource Levelling methodologies.
• Manage product lines to ensure alignment of raw materials and production capabilities.
• Reschedule existing demand to accommodate new demand and changes through the manufacturing process.
• Assist in ensuring that materials are received and kitted within the constraints dictated by the manufacturing schedule.
• Communicate demands, including schedules, part availability and available resources, to manufacturing, and communicate schedule updates to appropriate production planners.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement/Logistics, Production, Customer Service and other related departments to ensure product meets all customer demand requirements.
• Work with Procurement and Supplier Engineering to determine best practices for manufacturing methods and outsourcing options, if and when necessary, to support product design or customer demand.
• Plan demand in accordance with client or Field Service Operations requirements and work to ensure demand is met through the entire order lifecycle.

What you'll need

• Experience in manufacturing and inventory scheduling.
• Process knowledge of production planning activities.
• Knowledge of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems.
• Knowledge of an ERP system.
• Good knowledge of Excel.
• Bachelor of Engineering.
