Senior Analyst - Planning

Overview

Senior Analyst – Planning role in Pune, India, supporting the Customer Focus Team with materials planning, order processing and shortage management in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

• Provide expertise and support to the Customer Focus Team (CFT) for materials planning on specific projects, supporting weekly production planned orders to achieve kit on-time drop to meet customer schedule.
• Provide timely materials status using shortage reports, submit Excess and Obsolete Inventory to the customer, and manage work orders, inventory, MRB and DR to achieve operating goals.
• Support senior materials planners for new emerging NPI accounts, providing faster service and communicating effectively with the NPI customer to protect Flex's business interest.
• Work on customer forecast and shipment using the waterfall method.
• Analyze materials and capacity availability against customer demand and produce an aggressive but achievable loading schedule.
• Run weekly system reports to determine material shortages and work on their closure with the buying team.
• Handle work order management based on the build plan, and identify and take inventory management measures.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in planning or supply chain purchasing.
• Mandatory knowledge of computer software applications: MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in ERP/P2P systems such as BAAN, SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of engineering BOMs, product structure, EOL and ECO management.
• Process knowledge of the complete planning cycle: MPS, MRP, demand planning, materials planning and production planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Planning or supply chain knowledge/experience (not mandatory).
• Knowledge of planning tool Kinaxis.
