Analyst - Planning

Overview

Analyst – Planning role supporting the Customer Focus Team with materials planning, shortage management and order processing in Chennai, India.

What you'll do

• Provide expertise and support to the Customer Focus Team (CFT) for materials planning on specific projects, including materials support for weekly production planned orders to achieve on-time kit drops to meet the customer schedule.
• Provide timely materials status using shortage reports.
• Submit Excess and Obsolete inventory to the customer.
• Manage work orders, inventory, MRB and DR to achieve operating goals.
• Serve as senior materials planner for new emerging NPI accounts, providing faster service and communicating effectively with the customer while protecting Flex's business interests.
• Work on customer forecast and shipment using the waterfall method.
• Analyze material availability and capacity against customer demand and build an aggressive but achievable loading schedule.
• Run weekly system reports to determine material shortages and work on their closure with the buying team.
• Handle work order management based on the build plan and identify and take inventory management measures.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience in planning or supply chain purchasing.
• Mandatory knowledge of computer software applications: MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in ERP/P2P systems, such as BAAN, SAP or Oracle.
• Knowledge of engineering BOMs, product structure, EOL and ECO management.
• Process knowledge of the complete planning cycle, including MPS, MRP, demand planning, materials planning and production planning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Planning or supply chain knowledge/experience.
• Knowledge of the Kinaxis planning tool.
• Kinaxis knowledge.
