Sr Analyst - Demand Forecasting, GIC SC

Overview

Support the Demand Planning function by providing innovative solutions that optimize and standardize forecasting processes to improve forecast accuracy. This role works the 1.30pm to 10.30pm shift.

What you'll do

• Apply a basic understanding of new product launches, forecasting techniques and statistical forecasting models, fine-tuning model parameters to align forecasts with business needs and market dynamics.
• Analyze forecasting outputs, interpret patterns and trends in complex datasets, and prepare insightful reports to support stakeholder decision-making.
• Evaluate and monitor key performance metrics such as forecast accuracy and bias, and publish performance dashboards to keep stakeholders informed.
• Identify improvement opportunities through root cause analysis (RCA) to achieve business targets and enhance reliability.
• Manage data requirements for new product launch forecasting and prioritize support requests based on business impact and resource constraints.
• Use tools such as GCP, Python Dash, Tableau and AFO to extract, transform and manage data from primary and secondary sources using SQL, Excel and Python.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and brand marketing teams to align demand forecasts with launch strategies and promotional plans.
• Lead consensus meetings to incorporate cross-functional feedback.
• Standardize processes by training stakeholders on tools and methodologies to improve adoption and efficiency.
• Coordinate with technical and data science teams to identify process improvement opportunities, validate outputs, and propose modifications if required.

What you'll need

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in operational research, statistics, supply chain or another relevant field.
• 3 years of related experience.
• 2-3 years of experience in data analysis.
• High level of analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Looker.
• Forecasting techniques, including time-series models (Exponential Smoothing and ARIMA) and machine learning methods.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and data handling using R, Python, Excel and SQL.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS and Azure.
• Basic understanding of supply chain, CPG and retail operations.
• Critical thinking, integrity, teamwork, demand management expertise, a systematic approach to problem-solving, the ability to influence without authority, and strong interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree with a major in Operations or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional certifications such as CSCMP or APICS.
• Proficiency in Excel, knowledge of ERP systems, and familiarity with functional planning tools such as SAP APO.
