Specialist - GBS Procurement

Overview

Process purchase orders quickly and accurately in a fast-paced procurement environment, with strong stakeholder service and team collaboration.

What you'll do

• Issue purchase orders to vendors on time, follow up for order confirmation, and coordinate on-time payment to suppliers.
• Coordinate with vendors on actual delivery status of material.
• Complete the Open Purchase Order Report and Shortage Report on time for review.
• Execute core procurement processes efficiently and accurately for assigned products.
• Meet or exceed desired service levels and inventory targets for assigned products, validated through procurement metrics.
• Coordinate with internal business partners (requestors) and suppliers on purchase order changes.
• Select suppliers for new orders in accordance with approved purchasing strategies.
• Manage the supplier database.
• Identify, recommend and implement operational efficiencies to drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.
• Perform root cause analysis to expedite resolution of service issues.
• Prepare customized reports to analyze and incorporate process improvements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Experience in order processing, supply chain management, order management, and other SCM activities.
• Knowledge of ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Knowledge of computer software applications, including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Outlook.

Nice to have

• Experience in end-to-end procurement.
• Experience in manufacturing or a relevant industry, preferably electronics.

• Location: Chennai, India.
• Shift: 5pm to 2am.
