Senior QA Automation Engineer (5+ Years in Automation Testing-Playwright/Selenium, API Testing, REST Assured)

Overview

Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise fintech applications, embedding quality across the software development lifecycle and increasing release confidence.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and reusable test assets.
• Create automated test suites for functional, integration, API, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed automation and quality practices early in development.
• Validate software releases through comprehensive automated and risk-based testing strategies.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable deployments.
• Perform API testing and service validation across distributed and cloud-based environments.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
• Improve test coverage, maintainability, and execution efficiency across applications.
• Monitor quality metrics and identify opportunities to enhance testing processes and product quality.
• Contribute to quality standards, automation best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions for enterprise applications.
• Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, quality engineering principles, and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience building and executing API tests using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration using modern DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience working with relational databases and validating data integrity through automated testing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, regulatory technology, or enterprise software environments.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner, or k6.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks and practices.
• Understanding of security testing concepts, vulnerability assessment, and secure development practices.
• Experience creating test automation strategies for microservices and distributed architectures.
