Senior QA Engineer

Overview

Senior QA Engineer on the US-Hosted Payments group, responsible for deliverables for the US hosted payment product and development support to the P2G team.

What you'll do

• Create test cases from product specifications.
• Execute test plans and test cases and compile results.
• Take on PAS responsibilities, including direct customer interaction to understand issues, provide timely communication, and drive resolution with Customer Support teams.
• Set up and maintain personal testing environments, and set up team testing environments where needed.
• Track defects from detection to resolution and work with developers to reproduce and resolve them.
• Communicate with stakeholders on product issues.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of existing products, operations or systems.
• Review product documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Provide support to stakeholders prior to GA release of software.
• Design, develop, automate and maintain test scripts.
• Provide testing effort estimates for enhancements.
• Assist in reviewing software development processes to improve product quality.
• Create a knowledge base for future use.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or a related field.
• Knowledge of the Agile software development methodology.
• Manual testing with UI usage.
• Experience in the Payments domain.
• Knowledge of Payments/SWIFT/Fed/MT/MX/ACH messages.
• Knowledge of Payments ISO Messages and MT Messages.
• Experience in Payment Life Cycle Stages, Compliance, FX Payments, Remote Accounting.
• Knowledge of release deployments of components on Windows-based environments.
• Knowledge of configurations, including understanding INI / CFG files.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or within a team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques, including the software development lifecycle.
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to execute test plans and test scripts for commercial software applications, document expected vs. actual results, and record defects.
• Knowledge of automated testing software tools, with ability to design and develop automated testing programs.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SQL Queries / DB Scripts.
• Experience of working in US Payments products.
• Knowledge of performance testing and related performance tools.
• Knowledge of C++, DLLs, Windows OS components, Web services (REST and SOAP), Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI.
• Experience testing microservices and REST APIs.
