Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

Amtech seeks a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to lead quality engineering for complex, cross-functional projects and product capabilities.

What you'll do

• Own quality strategy, risk assessment, test coverage, and release readiness for complex projects and epics.
• Lead requirement, solution, and design reviews to identify quality and testability risks.
• Define risk-based test coverage across manual, exploratory, API, database, integration, migration, performance, resilience, and end-to-end testing.
• Design and enhance scalable Playwright automation using JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines and define quality gates.
• Lead root-cause analysis for escaped defects, recurring failures, automation instability, and performance regressions.

What you'll need

• 5–9 years of progressive software Quality Engineering experience (typically).
• Advanced hands-on experience with Playwright and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Strong expertise in manual, exploratory, API, database, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, Git, code reviews, and distributed system testing.
• Hands-on experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, Gatling, or Locust.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, risk-based testing, defect leakage, RCA, and release management.
