Staff Engineer Solution Test

Overview

Staff Engineer Solution Test is responsible for building and executing end-to-end test strategies for customer deployment scenarios across NMS/EMS and related systems.

What you'll do

• Set day-to-day work priorities to achieve team/organization goals.
• Develop test strategies for end-to-end customer deployment scenario testing.
• Automate NMS/EMS API and GUI test cases and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute and monitor tests, report system issues and test results, and run regression/scalability/compliance testing.
• Reproduce field issues, validate fixes, analyze logs, and troubleshoot/debug problems.
• Lead/mentor a small team of test engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams and 3rd parties.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of technical experience working with NMS/EMS systems.
• 5+ years of experience with telecom access products and GPON/NGPON/XGS-PON technologies.
• Good working knowledge of Apache Kafka and MongoDB.
• Networking protocol and Layer 2/3 Ethernet networking experience.
• Experience testing user interfaces including SNMP and Netconf.
• Experience with packet capture and networking test tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, and iperf.
• Ability to articulate system faults in issue tracking products.

• Location: Bangalore, India (hybrid work; work from Bangalore office for 20 days in a quarter).
