Senior Quality Engineer- Digital Experience & Automation (DEA)

Overview

Senior Quality Engineer within the Digital Experience & Automation (DEA) team at HPE Networking, focused on automated testing of web applications and Web APIs for digital support and services. This role is designed as onsite, primarily from an HPE office.

What you'll do

• Automate features for web applications and Web APIs.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet requirements.
• Monitor debugging process results.
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

What you'll need

• 9 to 12 years of experience in testing, with a minimum of 3+ years in automation.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, SoapUI and Python.
• Knowledge of PyCharm.
• Familiarity with testing and the testing life cycle.
• Knowledge of Docker and containers.
• Proven work experience in software development and software quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• Experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline.
• Typically 9+ years of experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with performance and/or security testing.
• Master's degree.
