Senior Software QA Engineer

Overview

Senior Software QA Engineer in the HPE Hybrid Cloud organization, working on the GreenLake next-generation cloud platform. This role is designed as onsite, with an expectation of working primarily from an HPE office.

What you'll do

• Apply knowledge of the complete SDLC and software testing methodology, tools, and processes.
• Develop test strategy, plan test execution, and perform test automation.
• Own the automation strategy and the tools required to enhance a test automation framework.
• Program in Python.
• Use AI workflows and AI tools.
• Apply troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Use tools and processes for functional, regression, and scale testing.
• Use Jira, Confluence, and related software.
• Participate hands-on in Agile methodology and Scrum.
• Collaborate effectively across a geographically distributed cross-functional team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 8+ years of experience.
• Strong System Engineering knowledge.
• Strong automation background.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Storage domain knowledge: Block/File/Object file systems, protocols, data path testing.
• Python automation.
• Networking concepts.
• Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD, Git/GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Linux/VM environments.

Nice to have

• Hands-on AI-based SDLC experience.
• Strong knowledge of AI workflows and AI tools.
