Senior Release & Deployment Engineer - Vice President

Overview

Senior Release & Deployment Engineer responsible for end-to-end release lifecycle oversight across large-scale, multi-module platforms.

What you'll do

• Drive end-to-end release planning, change control, risk assessment, and deployment window management.
• Balance deployment speed with platform stability.
• Use Jira and Confluence to maintain alignment across teams.
• Leverage Python and SQL to analyze deployment metrics and build trend analysis.
• Apply working knowledge of Unix/Linux and ECS/OpenShift environments for go/no-go decisions.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Harness/Lightspeed and support automation (e.g., ROD, parallel deployments, automated post-deployment checks).
• Use GenAI tools to accelerate release documentation/runbooks and surface deployment risk insights.

What you’ll need

• 10+ years of experience in release engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of release orchestration, governance, and change control processes.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
• Basic scripting and data analysis skills using Python and SQL.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operations and container orchestration platforms like ECS or OpenShift.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Harness or Lightspeed.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-powered developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Stylus) and interest in applying AI to release operations.
• Deep understanding of DevOps principles and passion for automation.
