Overview
Principal Platform Engineer serving as technical authority and architectural leader for a cloud-native platform and infrastructure in the Financial Platform organization.
What you'll do
- Define and drive target-state architecture for a next-generation cloud-native platform.
- Write production-grade code and build foundational custom tooling/operators.
- Author reusable Terraform modules and design reference implementations.
- Architect resilient, multi-cluster Kubernetes topologies and related orchestration practices.
- Architect CI/CD golden paths and progressive delivery pipelines with deployment guardrails.
- Embed DevSecOps through policy-as-code, secrets management, and secure supply chain standards.
- Design observability/SLI-SLO standards and lead RCA for critical production incidents.
What you'll need
- 7+ years hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, SRE, Distributed Systems, or Cloud Architecture.
- Expertise architecting highly available, fault-tolerant, secure cloud topologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency in Golang or Python and advanced scripting with Bash.
- Expert-level proficiency with Terraform (custom provider/module development, state locking, drift detection).
- Proficiency with policy-as-code engines including OPA/Rego and Kyverno.
- Comprehensive understanding of Kubernetes internals (control plane components, CNI/CSI, controllers/operators, RBAC, API extensions, scheduling primitives).
- Hands-on experience with observability platforms and distributed tracing with OpenTelemetry.
