Senior Release Engineer

Overview

Senior Release Engineer to design, standardize, and operate reliable enterprise application delivery for the Enterprise Technology & AI team.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD or comparable CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
• Develop reusable automation (e.g., Python scripts) to reduce manual release work.
• Define CI/CD patterns for platforms such as Salesforce and Zuora.
• Establish environment/promotion strategies across development, test, staging, and production.
• Implement quality gates, automated checks, approvals, audit trails, and policy controls for releases.
• Investigate failed deployments, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Improve release observability using dashboards, pipeline metrics, change records, and operational reporting.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in release engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting enterprise SaaS releases such as Salesforce, Zuora, or business systems.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating GitLab CI/CD (or comparable) pipelines in production.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) for maintainable automation and integrations.
• Mandatory hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude or comparable approved tools) for day-to-day DevOps/release work.
• Experience with source control branching/merging, artifact management, automated testing, deployment orchestration, and rollback practices.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and authentication patterns.
