Overview
Serve as a technical lead for federal environmental remediation projects, supporting investigations, remedial design and action, monitoring, operations, and compliance activities.
What you'll do
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and define technical objectives.
- Develop remediation work plans, technical deliverables, reports, and cost estimates.
- Develop solutions for complex technical and regulatory challenges.
- Support technical, management, and cost/price proposal development.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on remediation systems.
- Present technical findings to clients, regulators, stakeholders, and the public.
- Travel to project locations for meetings, site visits, and project activities.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 12 years of relevant environmental experience, or a master's degree and at least 10 years.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, and other state and federal environmental regulations.
- Experience evaluating, designing, or implementing remedial technologies.
- Experience addressing contaminants including PFAS, VOCs, SVOCs, explosives, metals, PCBs, and pesticides/herbicides.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
Details
- Remote within the United States or onsite in Reston, Virginia, or Twinsburg, Ohio, subject to eligibility requirements.
- Pay range: $116,350–$210,325 yearly.
