Overview
As a Senior Reservoir Engineer, provide reservoir engineering input and guidance to other technical disciplines on multidisciplinary projects, including field development planning, reservoir characterization and performance analysis, secondary recovery methodology, reserves estimation, classification and auditing.
What you'll do
- Lead reservoir engineering studies using reservoir simulation, material balance, decline curve analysis, well test analysis, PVT data analysis and SCAL data analysis.
- Provide production forecasts, sensitivities and risk evaluations for project economic evaluations.
- Support New Energies and Mature Assets Solutions projects.
- Originate and assist in delivering advisory jobs, working closely with GaffneyCline Energy Advisory colleagues in Asia Pacific and globally.
- Lead the preparation of reservoir management plans.
- Lead the preparation of subsurface data acquisition requirements.
- Identify production enhancement opportunities.
- Derive project economics.
- Support business development, including proposal preparation.
- Manage the execution and delivery of committed outcomes within budget and schedule.
- Participate in industry events and meetings within an agreed annual business plan to expand the GaffneyCline brand.
- Provide reservoir engineering input and guidance to other technical disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
What you'll need
- University Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years reservoir engineering experience, including experience in a consulting role.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment directing junior staff and contractors.
- Good understanding of the industry and trends.
- Highly effective communication skills with proven presentation skills and the ability to influence at the highest levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a drive for results, including being action oriented, ethical and having a strong client focus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- High motivation with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Capability for travel flexibility.
Nice to have
- Experience in a consulting role, with origination and project management roles being a distinct advantage.
- Experience working on CCUS, New Energy and Unconventional Reservoirs would be an advantage.
