Senior Sales Engineer - Majors, NYC

Overview

Senior Sales Engineer on the Majors Account team, covering the East region in the NYC Metro, reporting to the Sales Engineering Manager in the Americas Field Sales department. Architects technical solutions that address and resolve critical customer pain points.

What you'll do

• Oversee the technical sales process.
• Run Proof of Value from start to finish, as the technical and industry expert.
• Collaborate with and support internal Zscaler teams.

What you'll need

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain.
• Demonstrated ability to act as a Consultative AI Advisor, guiding customers through AI change management, including mapping manual business workflows to agentic AI systems and managing expectations around non-deterministic outputs.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Systems Integrator.
• Knowledge of network security technologies.

Nice to have

• Strong AI fluency by leveraging coding assistants, LLMs, and Generative AI tools to accelerate troubleshooting, solution design, automation, and customer problem-solving, while applying sound technical judgment to validate outputs.
• Industry certifications including CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA, CISSP, or CCSP.
• Experience working with large enterprise and major accounts.

• Location: Remote - Connecticut, USA; Remote - New Jersey, USA; Remote - New York, USA.
• Full-time position.
• Base pay range $154,875 to $221,250 USD, excluding commission, bonus, equity and benefits.
