Senior SAP Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Senior SAP Infrastructure Engineer responsible for managing and improving SAP infrastructure hosted primarily on Microsoft Azure, covering both BAU operations and transformation.

What you'll do

• Manage and support SAP infrastructure environments on Azure, including application servers, HANA databases, Web Dispatchers, HA, and DR.
• Provide BAU support for incidents, service requests, changes, maintenance windows, and problem management.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across Linux, Azure, storage, backup, monitoring, networking, and SAP components.
• Develop and maintain automation for SAP infrastructure operations using tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Manage Azure components for SAP workloads, including VMs, disks, networking, storage, monitoring, backup, identities, and automation services.
• Drive Azure cost optimisation through rightsizing, scheduling, reservation, storage and backup retention changes, and decommissioning.
• Support resilience activities including high availability/DR design, testing, backup coverage validation, and recovery readiness.

What you'll need

• Strong experience managing enterprise infrastructure workloads on Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of SAP infrastructure concepts including S/4HANA, legacy SAP, HANA databases, Web Dispatchers, and HA/DR.
• Strong Linux administration experience, preferably RHEL.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent.
• Understanding of HA clustering, failover, replication, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, incident management, and problem management.
• Experience working with Jira, ServiceNow, GitHub, or similar tooling.
