Senior Security Engineer - Application Security

Overview

Senior Security Engineer focused on Application Security and delivering security outcomes across an Agentic Systems platform.

What you'll do

• Drive security work across all phases of the SDLC from design and threat modeling through implementation, testing, and release.
• Own moderately complex security projects or features, adjusting standard approaches as needed.
• Partner with engineering and platform teams to secure AI-powered and agentic capabilities with security built in early.
• Conduct security assessments of applications, APIs, internal services, and platform components.
• Develop and improve security tooling and automation to reduce noise and increase effectiveness.
• Communicate risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to engineering partners to support decision-making.
• Mentor junior engineers and new hires on how Product Security works.

What you'll need

• Proven application security experience in modern, cloud-native environments.
• Grounding in secure design and threat modeling.
• Ability to independently manage and deliver moderately complex security tasks end-to-end.
• Experience writing and reasoning about code, including building/extending security tooling and automation.
• Practical experience with AWS (required), plus Kubernetes and microservices architectures.
• Clear understanding of penetration testing, red teaming, and purple teaming and when to use each.
