Senior Security Engineer, Incident Response

Overview

Senior Security Engineer for incident response, leading technical response to security events and incidents across Twilio’s global infrastructure and services.

What you'll do

• Lead and support response to security events and incidents across Twilio’s global infrastructure, services, and applications.
• Document incidents and projects, and craft best practices as runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate to understand and help solve challenges related to threat actors and activity.
• Drive identified betterments to improve Twilio’s security and reliability posture.
• Own the security incident lifecycle, respond to incidents, and participate in on-call rotation and RCAs.
• Build relationships with internal customers to increase the impact of the team’s work.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of security incident response experience in a production-cloud environment.
• Subject-matter expertise on security issues and technologies.
• Ability to utilize AI for complex security incident response activities delivering high-fidelity detections.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and experience with cloud security tools and technologies.
• Experience working across a technology stack on difficult security challenges and initiatives.
• Experience with SIEM platforms and ability to extend their functionality.
• Experience with SOAR tools and automating manual security processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Details

• Work mode: Remote (US), with occasional in-person travel for project/team meetings.
• Not eligible for hiring in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
