Senior Security Engineer (Security by Design)

Overview

Lead cybersecurity risk analysis, threat modeling, mitigation, and security engineering for medical products. Partner with cross-functional teams to support product cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

• Lead cybersecurity risk analysis and threat modeling.
• Develop mitigation strategies for secure medical products.
• Drive alignment on product cybersecurity, HIPAA, and GDPR compliance.
• Lead hardware and software security activities, including hardening and penetration testing.
• Integrate automated security testing across the SDLC.
• Automate security tasks using PowerShell, Ruby, or Python.
• Lead incident response and manage security incident resolution.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of work experience.
• Experience with security requirements, data security, malware analysis, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing.
• Understanding of relevant security standards or frameworks, including NIST 800-53 or IEC 62443-3-3.
• Experience securing medical or embedded devices.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment.
• Understanding of quality standards such as IEC 62304, IEC 60601, and 21 CFR 820.

Nice to have

• Security certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, OSCP, or CEH.
