Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer responsible for leading moderately complex software engineering initiatives, delivering projects and programs in technical domain environments, and resolving technical challenges while supporting client needs.

What you'll do

• Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
• Contribute to large-scale planning of strategies.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document projects and programs associated with the technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
• Review moderately complex technical challenges requiring an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures.
• Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new client needs.
• Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
• Lead projects and act as an escalation point.
• Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.

Nice to have

• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with React.js and modern front-end development frameworks, including state management and responsive UI development.
• Experience designing and implementing Event-Driven Architectures using messaging and streaming platforms.
• Working knowledge of Apache Kafka concepts, producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong source control and branching strategy experience using Git.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated unit tests, integration tests, and test automation frameworks.
• Experience working with at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB or similar technologies.
• Good understanding of software design patterns, secure coding practices, and application performance optimization.
• Awareness of Python and its usage in automation, scripting, data processing, or AI/ML-related initiatives.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional distributed teams.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers.
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity, Identity and Access Management (IAM), Authentication, Authorization, Privileged Access Management, or related security domains is a strong plus.
