Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the NCR Voyix Insight Team, responsible for the design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of enterprise-scale full-stack applications supporting the Insight and SWIC platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of scalable full-stack applications supporting the Insight and SWIC platforms.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Quality Engineering, Architecture, and Operations to define requirements and deliver business solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, promoting engineering excellence, and fostering team growth.
• Contribute to architectural discussions, technology evaluations, and technical decisions, aligned with product and organizational strategy.
• Participate in and contribute to an effective software development lifecycle using Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Implement and promote engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, security, and observability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring optimal application performance, reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, and other intelligent engineering capabilities to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
• Explore, evaluate, and implement AI-driven capabilities, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics solutions across the Insight and SWIC platforms.
• Document technical designs, architecture decisions, implementation approaches, operational procedures, and system specifications clearly and concisely.
• Support internal and external customers by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving application and production issues.
• Contribute to cloud deployments and operational excellence initiatives using Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Apigee.

What you'll need

• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and IAM.
• Experience developing and supporting Big Data analytics and reporting applications.
• Experience building highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud-native applications.
• Knowledge of Looker and LookML for data modelling, dashboard development, and analytics solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, Terraform, and Helm.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor, or similar technologies.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks and behavior-driven development practices.
• Experience working in analytics, retail technology, or enterprise software domains.
