Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for AlphaSense’s Content Engineering team, building production-grade AI/NLP solutions for large-scale content processing and document understanding.

What you'll do

• Deploy LLM-based production-grade solutions.
• Fine-tune and adapt state-of-the-art LLMs for specialized data extraction tasks.
• Develop prompt engineering systems to improve reliability and performance on confidential business documents.
• Build and scale data processing pipelines for high-volume, complex document extraction.
• Integrate LLM observability to trace, debug, and monitor extraction.
• Own systems end-to-end, including design, coding, monitoring, testing, CI/CD, and on-call support.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, primarily with Python.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying LLM applications.
• Experience extracting structured JSON from text using LLMs and understanding prompt engineering.
• Proficiency in NLP libraries for NER, text classification, and preprocessing.
• Experience with LLM tracing, debugging, and evaluation platforms such as Langfuse.
• Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
