Senior Software Engineer

Overview

NCR is looking for a highly talented Software Engineer for the Cinema team, responsible for designing and developing scalable, high-performing web and desktop applications and services in an Agile environment, with a deep understanding of the business logic of complex systems.

What you'll do

• Analyse, design and develop high-quality software that meets requirements, promotes re-use of software components and facilitates ease of support
• Proactively identify and implement process, best practice and tool improvements to improve quality and performance
• Design and document products, systems or baseline processes
• Drive issues to effective resolution and find solutions to challenging, time-critical problems
• Serve as the full stack software engineer on an Agile team
• Exhibit a very high personal commitment to quality, software engineering best practices, and protection of sensitive consumer information
• Convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences

What you'll need

• Proficient in Electron, ReactJS, Redux
• Experience in C#.Net and Multithreading
• Experience in SQL Server database design and creation of complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers and performance optimization
• Proficient in API and Web Service development
• Strong interpersonal skills (communication with other team members and customers)
• Strong analytical skills
• Passion for technology, quality, and user experience
• Understanding of Agile and Scrum
• Good understanding of design patterns
• Strong desire for quality and attention to detail; determined to write high-quality, easy-to-maintain code
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

• Knowledge in BackboneJS, Delphi
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Delivery practices
• Knowledge in Azure, Jenkins
• Knowledge of computer networking, TCP/IP Socket level communications
• Familiar with JIRA or similar issue management and tracking systems
• Knowledge of source control tools (TFS, Git)
