Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the Ads User Experience team, building a first-of-its-kind ads system within the Roblox Game Engine, starting with video formats.

What you'll do

• Help build a first-of-its-kind ads system within the Roblox Game Engine
• Develop new ad formats and integrations, starting with video
• Contribute to the design and performance of systems that scale across all Roblox experiences
• Play a foundational role in shaping a multi-billion dollar Ads business
• Build with an emphasis on user experience, performance, and platform integrity
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver thoughtful, community-respecting ad solutions

What you'll need

• 6+ years working in deep, complex C++ codebases on challenging technical problems
• Strong background with app metrics, analytics, or data science, with the ability to interpret and act on insights
• High standards for accuracy and a deep understanding of reliable data systems
• Proven ability to build and maintain robust, production-quality systems
• Eagerness to learn and stay at the forefront of emerging technologies

Details

• Location: San Mateo, CA, United States (headquarters)
• Office schedule: onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted)
• Annual base salary range: $243,290 to $295,250 USD, with actual pay dependent on job-related factors
• Full-time employees are eligible for equity compensation and benefits
