Senior Software Engineer C++/C#

Overview

Senior Software Engineer C++/C# role contributing to the development of TeamViewer's remote access solution and backend services using modern C++ and C#/.NET technologies, reporting to the Team Lead Software Development.

What you'll do

• Design and develop new functionality for software solutions using C++ (primary focus) and C#.
• Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful web APIs using C# (.NET).
• Participate continuously in application design to enhance reliability, maintainability, scalability, and efficiency of systems and code base.
• Work independently on solutions for specified requirements and take responsibility for meeting time and quality specifications.
• Continuously integrate, build, and deploy solutions from test systems to production.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving software quality and development practices.
• Support the maintenance and modernization of existing software components while developing new features.
• Act as an advisor towards product owners regarding feasibility studies and estimates for new functionality.

What you'll need

• University or college degree in computer science, software engineering, or any other related subject, or relevant work experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience in software development with modern C++.
• Good knowledge of C# backend development and the .NET framework, particularly in developing and maintaining RESTful web APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of Clean Code and Design Patterns for object-oriented programming.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining complex software applications.
• Good understanding of software architecture, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience with unit testing and continuous integration practices.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of TypeScript, particularly React, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, and automated build and deployment pipelines is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools for coding (e.g. Copilot, Claude, Cursor) is a plus.
• A positive and solution-oriented mindset paired with a structured and analytical way of thinking and working, being a team player, and being motivated to learn new things.
