Senior Software Engineer, Client Platform

Overview

Senior Frontend engineer role within Postman’s Client Platform team, focused on raising the quality bar across the frontend ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Design and develop modular, well-documented SDKs and component libraries with a focus on usability, accessibility, performance, and cross-platform compatibility.
• Architect extensible frontend systems using clear boundaries, interfaces, and appropriate abstraction layers.
• Establish and promote architectural patterns that improve code quality, maintainability, and scalability.
• Participate in architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and create standards that measurably improve code quality.
• Partner with product and engineering to identify and eliminate technical debt via refactoring and system enhancements.

What you'll need

• 8+ years in frontend software engineering.
• Expertise in code quality and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding of modern web technologies and best practices (JavaScript, TypeScript, React, state management, testing frameworks).
• Experience designing maintainable, scalable frontend architectures for complex applications.
• Experience creating reusable component libraries and SDKs across multiple systems.
• Track record of raising the quality bar through technical solutions and positive cultural impact.

• Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
• On-site expectation: employees in Bangalore work in the office three days a week, transitioning to five days per week by the end of the year.
