Senior Software Engineer, Core Experiences - Bangalore, India

Overview

Senior Software Engineer for Speechify’s Core Experiences team, building and maintaining foundational services and SDKs that power the product experience across platforms.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product teams to scope projects and deliver cross-platform solutions via SDKs.
• Optimize existing functionality for faster loading and more intelligent parsing using abstractions and improved algorithms.
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin.
• Navigate integration/UX tradeoffs across different product teams.
• Reduce project scope to get faster feedback from customers.

What you'll need

• Systems thinking for end-to-end design and simplifying systems.
• Speed in generating options and deciding what can ship now.
• Focus to know when to engage versus be heads down.
• Collaboration skills to work with opinionated designers, marketers, and PMs.
• Kotlin Multiplatform skills (Java experience is OK).
• Prior experience with GCP is preferred.
