Senior Software Engineer (Customer Platform)

Overview

Senior Software Engineer on the Platform team, building customer-facing backend services and public APIs used across multiple products.

What you'll do

• Design and build customer-facing backend services and public APIs.
• Own features from design through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
• Partner with Product Management and the Experience team.
• Create technical design documents and drive design plans.
• Contribute to product roadmap prioritization and iterative delivery.

What you'll need

• 5+ years building production services and APIs in a modern cloud environment.
• Proficiency with Go or readiness to ramp up quickly.
• Experience designing and evolving public APIs used across products or services.
• Familiarity with microservices, containers, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of observability and resilient production services.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across product teams.
• Ability to work remotely in a self-directed, ambiguous, fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience building platform or shared services across multiple products.
• Experience with cloud-native, containers, security, or CNCF tools.
• Meaningful open source contributions as a maintainer or regular contributor.

Details

• Remote in the United States.
• Base salary: $157,000–$184,000 USD per year.
