Sr Software Engineer

Overview

Sr Software Engineer for Mitratech’s HRS Platform Team, responsible for coding, testing, and implementing products for a Web + AI enterprise application.

What you'll do

• Create code that meets design specifications, follows standards, and is easy to maintain.
• Integrate AI-assisted development tools into daily engineering work to increase velocity and quality.
• Use context engineering and harness engineering to produce reliable, high-quality outputs from agentic tools.
• Review functional and technical requirements, perform research, and design solutions.
• Perform unit, automation, and peer testing and ensure the product is fully tested.
• Conduct code reviews and lead or co-lead projects and design efforts as needed.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of job experience in a software development/software engineer role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools as part of your regular workflow.
• Ability to manage agent instructions, skills, and harnesses for consistent production-quality results from agentic tools.
• Proficiency with modern backend languages/stacks (e.g., Go, Java, Python, TypeScript/Node, Vanilla JS/PReact).
• Web services + REST API design and implementation experience.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred).
