Senior Software Engineer - Data Integration, Officer

Overview

Hands-on Senior Data Integration Developer role on the Alpha Data Platform at Charles River Development, State Street's FinTech division, delivering data integration and orchestration services to clients.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines, Snowflake data warehouse, CI/CD deployment pipelines and data-readiness (data quality) solutions.
• Conduct query performance tuning and optimization and data loads to meet SLAs for batch and real-time use cases.
• Investigate problems independently and deliver clear, concise solutions and innovations.
• Work across regions (APAC, EMEA, North America) to create design standards, high-level design documents, cross-training and data onboarding activities.
• Create artifacts aligned with the global SDLC process, governance clearance and unit test results, conduct peer code reviews, and be involved in code deployments.
• Create Confluence and Jira/Kanban stories.
• Perform SQL query debugging, defect resolution and root cause analysis while working with multiple business and IT stakeholders.
• Support client implementations and deliver solutions to improve operations.
• Manage Git code versioning and merging, including release and feature branches.

What you'll need

• B.S. degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or other technical course of study.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in data integration/orchestration services.
• Strong data warehousing concepts and ETL tools such as Talend Cloud Data Integration.
• Strong SQL knowledge and debugging skills.
• Experience in service architecture and providing data-driven solutions for client requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud, Snowflake SQL, and database query/performance tuning.

Nice to have

• MS degree.
• Exposure to the financial domain.
• Prior experience with State Street and Charles River Development (CRD).
• Experience with Qlik Replicate and Compose (Change Data Capture) tools.
• Exposure to third-party data providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MSCI and other rating agencies.
